En redes sociales circulan nuevas imágenes del incendio de la subestación eléctrica en Londres que este viernes provocó un apagón masivo en la capital británica y obligó a cerrar el Aeropuerto Internacional de Heathrow, uno de los más transitados del mundo. Los bomberos continúan trabajando en la instalación energética, que abastece al aeropuerto, el mismo que no reabrirá hasta la medianoche de hoy. Más de 1.000 vuelos se han visto afectados.

This comes after a fire at a nearby electrical substation caused a mass power outage overnight. The airport will be closed all day and will not reopen until midnight tonight. A statement posted on the airport’s X account read: “Due to a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage. “To maintain the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Heathrow will be closed until 23h59 on 21 March. Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport and should contact their airline for further information. We apologise for the inconvenience.” Planes are being diverted and flyers are urged to stay away as the airport remains closed until midnight.
